The Cars of Fast and Furious 6
Modified motor fanatics will be in for a treat this month as the sixth instalment of Fast and Furious is set to hit screens on May 17th. Set predominantly in London, this chapter sees Paul Walker, Vin Diesel and Dwayne Johnson plus plenty of modified cars, racing through England’s capital.
Among the cars for the film is a heavily modified Nissan GT-R and a Subaru BRZ although who drives them has been kept hidden encouraging us all the more to purchase a cinema ticket!
In the trailer we spotted a Dodge Charger and in this latest case it’s the most powerful Charger of them all, the SRT8 with a 470-horsepower, 6.4-liter Hemi V8 under its hood. Diesel’s character gets to play in the Dodge as he has done throughout most of the franchise while other character’s this year will be seen in an Alfa Romeo Giulietta, a Ferrari Enzo or a Plymouth Super Bird.
A Subaru Impreza WRX STI also shows its face but the most unlikely star in this Fast and Furious film is the Jensen Interceptor. Built by Jensen Motors in England between 1966 and 1976, the Interceptor is bred as British but is completely powered by American muscle; 6.3 litres old school carburetted V8 muscle, to be precise.
We even spied a modified tank! See you in the cinema!
