All Wooden – Toyota Setsuna
So Milan Design Week is coming up, and what better way to stand out in the crowd than to showcase an all wooden car.
We’ve talked about Japanese wooden cars previously here on its modified but Toyota has worked long and hard to create their new Setsuna model in time for this year’s design show at the end of April.
Mastering the art of okuriari and kusabi – Japanese wood working, the wooden pieces that assemble the Setsuna itself are first cut and patterned so the pieces slot together perfectly, just like a massive car shaped jigsaw!
The car itself has a fully compatible, working engine, along with an extremely stylish interior – as stylish and comfortable as expected for a wooden car!
Although the model completely overrides the new wave of modern and futuristic car technology, however it does provide new and fresh car appeal, especially being totally eco-friendly.
You may be thinking “I want one” but unfortunately, this car is not road legal, despite its full functionality. But, if you’re attending this year’s Milan Design Week, then it’s definitely one to snap.
